Plot Summary
Located off the coast of Costa Rica, the Jurassic World luxury resort provides a habitat for an array of genetically engineered dinosaurs, including the vicious and intelligent Indominus Rex. When the massive creature escapes, it sets off a chain reaction that causes the other dinos to run amok. Now, it's up to a former military man and animal expert (Chris Pratt) to use his special skills to save two young brothers and the rest of the tourists from an all-out, prehistoric assault. (1)

Hello, Movie Buffs!
Jurassic World (2015) is my favorite in the Jurassic Park series as it manages to stand up to the standards of the original 1993 film. This time Director Colin Trevorrow (The Book of Henry; Jurassic World 2 writer) is given the task of bringing this film to life and I believe that he does a great job. This is the true sequel that author Michael Crichton failed to give Steven Spielberg in 1997.
The story is set 22 years after the events of the first film and takes place on the same fictional island, Isla Nublar, off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. And this time the theme park of cloned dinosaurs has been operating for the past 10 years. The story is explained really well and grips the audience with thrills, twists, scares, and even a few moments of humor. The premise of the story is a new dinosaur hybrid, the Indominous Rex. At first, we are intrigued by the hybrid who seems to be no more dangerous than the average T-Rex but as any Jurassic Park fan knows, nothing is as it seems. By the middle of the film, we quickly learn just what kind of dinosaur was made and fearfully anticipate the consequences of creating such a creature. The special effects are brilliant and further enhance the story of the film. The dinosaurs are so convincing one can almost forget that they’re computer and make-up effects. The Raptors were the work of human actors in performance capture suits which allowed the actors to perform realistic movements and give the dinosaurs a more realistic look.
Jurassic World has a wonderful build-up of main characters and few supporting characters. All the cast were great. Bryce Dallas Howard (Gold) plays Claire who learns some humility and heart, Nick Robinson (Everything, Everything) plays Zach who learns real love over shallowness and selfishness, Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3) Gray learns true courage, and Chris Pratt (Avengers: Infinity War) plays dino-vet Owen who already with enough faith and trust gains even more. Jack Johnson (The Mummy), Lauren Lapkus (Blended), Omar Sy (Transformers: The Last Knight), and Irrfan Khan (Life of Pie) offer some great comedic supporting characters. While Vincent D’Onofrio (Death Wish) and BD Wong (Jurassic Park) offer some great antagonistic characters, especially Wong who reprised his role as Dr. Wu from the original 1993 Jurassic Park film.
Overall, Jurassic World (2015) is entertaining and a great addition to Jurassic Park series. The dinosaurs are much more realistic, the cast is great with wonderful character build up, and the story is a thrilling improvement to the original film. While The Lost World (1997) was good, Jurassic World was the sequel that the original deserved. I highly recommended this film to everyone who is a fan of the original 1993 film, and I cannot what to see what Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) has in store next.

NOTE: There is a reason why the Jurassic Park films merit a PG-13 rating, as the films are more violent and dramatic than one might expect. In other words, some 8 to 12 year-olds can handle these films, while others more easily scared will most likely be scared of these films.
